Corfu Town

22nd October – 19th November Read More

Situated off Greece's west coast, Corfu is the most popular of the Ionian Islands. A mixture of rampant tourist development, ancient history and natural beauty, together with its proximity to Italy (easily accessible by ferry), makes this island extremely popular with Europeans.
Corfu Town is the island's centre - an odd mix of modern high-rise holiday apartments and ancient structures. The town's focal points are the cafe-filled arcades, known as the Liston, and the Venetian old town, with its Byzantine architecture.
Last minute rush to beat the weather
ABTA members including Thomson holidays and LowCostHolidays.com are reporting increases in business of up to 30% over the last two weeks and 40% up on the same period last year. Many customers are looking for last minute holidays to escape the dreary summer at home.

Aghios Ioannis
Aghios Ioannis is the sort of place you only find by accident. And that’s what makes it special. A traditional village of staggered stone cottages and endless olive groves, it’s a pretty alternative to busy Corfu Town nearby. In fact, you can forget busy anything in Aghios Ioannis. The pace of life here is just right for that holiday feeling. Wander into the village square and idle away the hours with a strong, sweet coffee – just the way the locals like it.
