made goods are very reasonably priced and
available in most resorts as well as Corfu Town.
They often make unusual gifts and range from olive
wood statues, to lace and leather goods. Gold and
pottery make good buys, as does the locally
produced Kumquat liqueur. Head for Corfu Town for
the widest selection of shopping.
Cuisine
Along
with many of the Greek Islands, the best way to
appreciate the great variety of Greek specialities
is by ordering a meze which will consist of small
local plates of dips as well as local fish and
meat dishes for the whole family to enjoy. Taverna
and restaurants offer a wide varierty of local and
international cuisine.
Night-life
Many
resorts on the island offer a good selection of
bars and night-life, however if you're looking to
be completely spoilt for choice then Sidari in the
north or Kavos in the south are the places to head
for, for all night throbbing night-life.
